The automotive industry as a whole is showing robust growth on the back of national economic recovery. The sales of vehicles have been further boosted by easy access to bank loans and lease finance at affordable rates.

In the first half of the financial year 2004, Hinopak sale increased by 33.5 percent to 1086 units from 813 units over the last year.

The net sales revenue increased by 57 percent to Rs 2,608 million and gross profit increased by 14.4 percent to Rs 357 million.

The management and the labour are making concerted efforts to enhance the productivity and profit of the company.

Hino 500 series trucks and new buses equipped with Euro engines were launched during the year.-PR
