Presiding over the monthly review meeting on Friday Rind said, the efforts should be made to bring all eligible workers under the cover of SESSI schemes.
The meeting noted with satisfaction that SESSI had distributed Rs 18.57 lakh as cash benefits among workers and their dependents during July.
The total disbursement includes Rs 4.73 lakh sickness benefits, Rs 9.98 lakh as disablement pension, Rs 1.36 lakh as survivors' pension, Rs 11,000 as maternity benefits and Rs 9000 as iddat benefits.
During the month under review the SESSI collected Rs 57.443 million as social security contribution from 16059 registered establishments employing 2.77 lakh registered workers.
