Ahsan, who is also the Chairman ICC (International Chamber of Commerce) Paris Banking Commission, told APP that during a meeting with the SBP Governor here on Thursday, the governor said most of the systems in the banks were computerised.
The banks cover their risk by making their depositors, clients sign for every sort of loss but the customers are not covered under the law that is in place but was not in use.
He said: "As the cyber crimes are increasing, it is necessary that the depositors/customers of the banks are covered under the law and their interests are guarded."
ICC Pakistan Banking Commission would be looking into the factor, how the customers are covered under the law and how it is made simpler.
Responding to a question, he said the governor has asked him to execute the task with the help of lawyers, IT experts, and bankers (IT department officials). "All of us," he added, "will try to make eCommerce Law as user-friendly.
