The NWFP government has refused to accept 100000 tons wheat as Sarhad Floor Mills Association is defiant, saying that Punjab should lift ban completely on inter-provincial movement of the commodity. Sources told Business Recorder here on Friday that delivery of wheat to NWFP was being made under Punjab's temporary relaxation of ban. However flour millers in Frontier province have been demanding entire lifting of ban on commodity transportation.

On the other side, government of Punjab has rejected the NWFP claim and said that there is no such ban on inter-provincial transportation of wheat.

However, source said that the federal government is preparing to convene the inter-provincial co-ordination committee (IPCC) meeting early next month to raise NWFP wheat issue, which is expected to be held in the first week of September.
