Chief Minister Punjab Chaudhry Pervaiz Ellahi Thursday said the President of Pakistan Muslim League (PML) Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain, by stepping down as the Prime Minister, has set a healthy tradition and upheld his commitment with the party.

All the democratic process was being completed in a smooth and transparent way by setting new traditions, he told reporters in the Parliament House.

Responding to a question about law and order situation in the province, he said concrete steps had been taken to eradicate that menace.

He said effective strategy was also being evolved to control other crimes in the province.

The chief minister said there was no ban on the transportation of flour from one province to another.

He informed that about 100,000 tons of wheat had already been announced for NWFP to meet its requirements, while last year wheat was also provided to that province.

Pervaiz Ellahi said that Prime Minister-designate Shaukat Aziz would decide about the composition of next Cabinet. He, however, assured full support to the new prime minister from his province.

When asked about construction of Kalabagh Dam, he said all the big reservoirs would be built after consensus.
