A delegation of Pakistan Muslim League (Women Wing) led by MNA, Rehana Aleem Mashhadi called on Prime Minister, Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain at his residence on Monday and discussed with him reorganisation of PML women wing.

Talking to the delegation, Prime Minister said that women formed an important part of the society and that the government was taking all necessary steps to bring them to the national mainstream.

He said that it was for the first time in the country's history that women had biggest ever representation in the parliament. These women parliamentarians were playing an effective role in legislation.

He said that the women members of national and provincial assemblies should attend the meetings of the PML women wing regularly so that they could apprise members of the wing about the government policies and give feed back to the government.

The Prime Minister said that a mechanism would be evolved within four weeks to redress the grievances of the women wing regarding availability of funds.

The PML women delegation congratulated the Prime Minister over successful dialogue with the Saudi leadership and performance of Umrah.

The delegation members also condemned the attempt on the life of Finance Minister, Shaukat Aziz near Fateh Jang, calling it a dastardly act.

They said that the terrorists would not be successful in their nefarious designs and added that Muslim League leadership would continue with their agenda of economic reforms and good governance with determination.

The delegation comprised Punjab Chief Minister's Chief Co-ordinator for Women, MPA Memona Shaheen, MPA Shazia Chand Khadeeja Hassan, Muqaddas, Azra Pervez, Shabnam Shahzadi, Uzma Batool, Dr Aqsa, Rukhsana Yousaf, Samina Arshad, Rehana Tabassum, Rabia, Anjum Afzaal, Naureen Azeem and Sadaf Ihsan.
