The head of the mission of the Syrian Embassy to Pakistan, Adnan Bernieh, visited the Institute of Bankers Pakistan (IBP) to explore possibilities of co-operation for professional development of human resources in banks and other sectors of economy in Syria.

He acquainted himself with the services and expertise available with the IBP for knowledge endeavours.

IBP Chief Executive Muhammad Saleem Umer welcomed the guest, and explained him the role of the IBP in promoting knowledge and professional development of human resources in the entire financial sector, including banks, financial institutions, and other corporate.

Adnan Bernieh was impressed to see the existing facilities and expertise available with the IBP for developing co-operation between Syria and Pakistan for updating and up-scaling the professional acumen of human resources in banking and other areas of business.

Recording his impressions in the visitor's book about his visit to the IBP, Adnan Bernieh described the Institute as a masterpiece of dedication and creativity, saying: "The massage was clear -a sacrifice for no financial reward.

He said: "It is an edifice of knowledge and a lantern of bright banking and economic future not only of Pakistan, but the humanity at large" He was of the view that everybody here deserves respect and admiration for the noble aims they stand for.
