According to an official source here on Monday, the projects included construction of restaurant at Pir Sohawa with a cost of Rs 8 million, construction of 77 new public toilets costing Rs 28 million and repair of lifts, fire alarm system and installation of air conditioners in the Parliament House, which will cost Rs 29 million.
The decision was taken at a meeting of interior division chaired by the Additional Secretary.
Elaborating, the source said that an open-air restaurant to be constructed at the Pir Sohawa, a popular tourist spot in the Margalla Hills, has been designed by a Lahore based architect and would be completed within eight months.
The construction of public toilets in various locations of the federal capital are expected to be completed within three months. The funds for the project would be provided by CDA.
The source also informed that the repair and installation work in the Parliament House would be completed within six months, with the special grant from the Federal government.
