According to a spokesman of city police, the accuseds have confessed to 12 incidents of murder, dacoity during preliminary investigation. He said the gang was nabbed by a special team, headed by DSP Investigation Circle, New Anarkali, from Shahdara area of the city. The arrested have been identified as Fazl Aman, Irfan Khan and Inayatullah.
The criminal of this gang used to barge into the houses and looted valuables on gunpoint. The incidents committed by the gang include murder of police officer Mardan district and dacoities in Shahdara, Lahore.
According to the spokesman, the police also recovered stolen property worth Rs 200,000 and illegal weapons from their possession. SSP Investigations Chaudhry Shafqaat Ahmed has announced cash prizes and certificates of appreciation for the raiding police party.
