Sindh Chief Minister Dr Arbab Ghulam Rahim has said that Tharis are peaceful and loving people and hoped that Shaukat Aziz will get more votes in this constituency than that in Attock.

He was speaking at the reception ceremonies at villages Haji Mohammad Siddique Dal, Bachu Bhoot, Cachi Mona and others of Taluka Deeplo and village Arbab Faiz Mohammad on Saturday night.

The Chief Minister categorically said that the bye-election in this constituency will be held in fair, free and transparent manner.

A large number of common people, notables and workers of Pakistan Muslim League attended the reception.

Dr Arbab Rahim said that Tharparkar has now been introduced on international level through electronic and print media after Shaukat Aziz selected this constituency for by-election.

He hoped that this area would witness revolutionary changes in near future.

The Chief Minister expressed his dissatisfaction over the on-going development works in Sindh and said that efficiency of all the departments would be made better for welfare of the downtrodden people.

He said that sufficient funds have been allocated for the de-silting of the distributaries in Sindh and assured the people that he will make every effort to resolve the problems of Thar on priority basis.

Earlier, MPA Arbab Haji Abdulllah, District Naib Nazim Pam Singh Sodho and Nazim Union Council Mohammad Siddique Dal also spoke on the occasion and presented their problems.
