The President International Islamic University (IIU) Dr Mehmood Ahmed Ghazi has asked the concerned government departments and universities to translate World Trade Organisation (WTO) agreements into Urdu and other regional languages.

He was addressing to the participants of a training course held by IIU on "WTO, Principles and Laws," said a press release here on Sunday.

Dean Management of Computer Sciences IIU Professor Dr Khalid Rashid, Head of Business Administration was the chief guest on the occasion. Professor Rauf A. Sheikh, Incharge International Management Development centre Professor Bashir Ghuman and other also attended the certificates distribution ceremony.

Dr Mehmood Ahmed Ghazi in his address said that if they do not understand international agreements, it will affect our economy.

He said we had not yet paid due attention towards these agreements in the past and there was a dire need to make serious efforts to combat the coming challenges.

He suggested to work in three dimensions which are dissemination of knowledge to the concerned departments and end users, preparation of book, pamphlets and other material in Urdu and other Pakistani languages and compiling text book for the students of concerned discipline.

He urged for enhancing productivity and quality of agricultural and industrial products to stop other countries especially India to grab our existing markets.

Dean, Management of Computer Sciences Professor Dr Khalid Rashid and Professor Bashir Ghuman also spoke on the occasion and enlighten the purpose of the training course. Later, the chief guest distributed certificates among the participants.
