The minister said this while addressing an open katchery here at village Abdullah after inauguration of water supply scheme and a primary school near here on Sunday.
The present government, particularly the President General Pervez Musharraf wants to uplift the backward areas and provide all basic facilities in health, education and other sectors for the people of backward areas of the country.
The government has initiated a series of development projects which not only provide basic facilities to the people at their doorsteps, but also open the opportunity of employment and improvement in socio-economic conditions of the people, he added.
He said that it is the responsibility of the public representatives to provide all basic facilities to the people, who elected them for their representation in the assemblies.
The members of the parliament belongs to opposition are doing nothing for the welfare of their voters except criticism on the government, he said and advised them to point out the problems of their respective areas so that the government could resolve these grievances at the earliest.
He said that the policies of the present government have made the country more strong in the world. The country has built huge foreign reserves, while it was being declared bankrupt because of the only two-week's reserves.
He said that soon the countrymen will witness a huge foreign investment in the country and provision of basic needs with employment in every nook and corner.
Commenting on the murderous attack on the Finance Minister and Prime Minister designate Shaukat Aziz, the minister termed it an act of those, who do not want peace and tranquillity in is the country.
No Muslim can play with the life of another Muslim, which is against the preaching of Islam, the minister said and added that despite the threats, the government will continue its efforts of taking decisions for the larger interests of the country.
He said that terrorists are trying to play havoc in the country, but the government will soon combat the terrorism from the country. The terrorists network will be unearthed very shortly, he added
About the problems of Dadu district, Jatoi assured the provision of health, education, gas and drinking water facilities in every village of the district.
About demands of the area people, the minister assured the regularisation of the villages of the area with development schemes of power and gas supplies.
He also announced construction of a pacca road in village Abdullah with Rs 1.5 million and asked the officers concerned to launch the scheme within one week time. He also underlined the need of the establishment of a girls school in the area.
Among others, Mohammed Yaqoob Brohi and Malik Changez Khan while speaking on the occasion, highlighted the problems, being faced by area people.
Liaquat Ali Khan Jatoi on the occasion also heard the grievances of the people and issued spot orders for their redressal.
On complaints about the recovery of toll tax at Kotri Bridge, corruption in education department and preparation of domiciles, the minister asked the officers concerned to look into the matters along with necessary action with immediate effect.
The minister earlier inaugurated the newly established water supply scheme and a primary school in the village which have been completed under Dera programme.
