The Cabinet will discuss the convention on avoidance of double taxation and prevention of evasion between Pakistan and Moldova to promote bilateral trade and investment.

The Cabinet in its meeting on August 4 will also take up the agreement on Avoidance of Double Taxation, inked between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, for formal approval.

Sources said that Pakistani and Saudi tax experts completed discussion on articles pertaining to convention on Avoidance of Double Taxation at the Central Board of Revenue (CBR) and initial agreement was signed between the two countries.

The convention on Avoidance of Double Taxation between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia would help Pakistan's businessmen working in Saudi Arabia. The agreement will particularly be beneficial for the businessmen, professionals and contractors.

Sources said that the Cabinet would also discuss agreement between Pakistan and Azerbaijan on co-operation in the fight against illegal manufacturing and trafficking of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances.

It would also discuss agreement on abolition of Visa with Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Thailand and Zimbabwe. The Cabinet would also consider signing of memorandum of understanding (MOU) between Pakistan and Turkey on collaboration in defence research, technology and production.

Moreover, it would discuss signing of MOU between Pakistan and United Kingdom (UK) on defence equipment co-operation.
