A meeting chaired by Chief Secretary Sindh Aslam Sanjrani on Saturday reviewed the development projects, being funded by Asian Development Bank (ADB) in the province.

Meeting decided that Additional Chief Secretary Local Bodies Muhammad Saleem Khan would establish close co-ordination with Sindh Planning & Development and Finance Departments to chalk out joint strategy to resolve financial problems, obstructing some projects.

Secretary Education Sindh Ghulam Ali Pasha informed the meeting that upgrading of 1,200 primary schools including civil work on 4,870 components besides work on "Special Poverty Reduction Programme" is underway.

Provincial Programme Co-ordinator, Capt. Kabir Qazi briefed the meeting about Sindh rural development projects and reviewed physical and finance progress of the project.

Secretary General Administration, Ejaz Hussain Qazi, Chief Economist, A. G Pirzada, Special Secretary Education, Suhail Akbar Shah, Project Director Saeen Dad Solangi, Chief Engineer Works and Services, Syed Akbar H. Rashdi and other high official attended the meeting.

Projects reviewed in meeting included Sindh Road Sector Development Project, Decentralised Elementary Education Programme, Devolved Social Services Project and Sindh Rural Development Projects.

On the occasion chief secretary stressed interdepartmental co-ordination.
