Four Indian occupation soldiers and at least one suspected freedom fighter were killed on Friday in a gun battle in occupied Kashmir, a defence official said.

Suspected freedom fighters opened fire as occupation troops raided a suspected freedom fighters hideout in the Surankot area of Poonch district, 240km north-west of occupied Jammu, the official said.

He said four occupation soldiers and one suspected freedom fighter were killed and that the firing was continuing into early evening.
