After restoration of road and air links between Pakistan and India, rail link will also resume with the departure of Samjhota Express from Lahore to Delhi on Monday.

Pakistan Railways spokesman told PPI on Sunday that all the arrangements had been given final touches.

Passengers intended to go to India could get tickets from the booking office of Lahore Railway Station.

The exporters and importers should contact Additional General Manager Freight Khawaja Nazir Ahmad in the Headquarters Office for the transportation of their goods, he added.

The spokesman said that initially the Samjhota Express would run twice a week on Mondays and Thursdays.

He also said that those passengers with tickets of Second and Economy classes would be allowed to take 35-kg luggage along with them, while passengers of First Class would be allowed to carry 50-kg.

The PR spokesman warned the passengers of fine on violation of rules regarding the goods.
