The Federal Board of Revenue has extended date for filing of income tax returns/statements (Tax year 2017) up to October 31, 2017. FBR officials said that the FBR has issued a circular in this regard. According to the circular issued here on Friday, in exercise of the powers conferred under Section 214A of the Income Tax Ordinance, 2001, the Federal Board of Revenue is pleased to extend the date of filling of Returns/Statements for the Tax Year 2017 as under:-

The date for filing of Returns of Total Income /Statement of final Taxation which was due on 31 August, 2017 and extended upto 30th September 2017 is hereby further extended to 31st October, 2017. The date for filing of income tax returns/statements of final taxation which were due on 30th September 2017 for Individuals and Associations of Persons is hereby extended to 31st October, 2017. The date for filing of returns of total income/statements of final taxation of companies which were due on 30th September 2017 is hereby extended up to 31st October, 2017.
