A meeting of the Inter-Provincial Coordination Committee (IPCC) of the CCI will meet Tuesday to take up financial claim of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) against Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) with respect to cross-adjustment of sales tax.

The meeting convened by the Minister for IPCC with six point agenda stated that it would discuss KP financial claim of cross-adjustment of sales tax against FBR in purview of memorandum of understanding (MOU) in this regard. The meeting would consider a proposal regarding access to real time electricity production in the country, usage by distribution companies (DISCO), duration of load-shedding on feeders of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and at source deduction/adjustment of electricity duty by PESCO against electricity dues of provincial government departments.

The IPCC, whose members are provincial chief ministers, would also consider implementation of Kazi Committee's Methodology (KCM) for calculation of net hydel profit. The meeting would also take up early signing of power purchase agreement (PPA) for Pehur Hydro Power Project by the CPPA-G and payment of arrears on account of electricity sold to PESCO and would assess the real time production data of oil and gas from the well heads and natural gas consumption in KP. The agenda stated that in continuation of this ministry's letter dated Sep 7, 2017, the minister for IPCC as chairman has convened the 26th meeting of the IPCC.
