The delegation of Punjab Ittehad Bainul Muslimeen Committee (IBMC) headed by coordinator Sahibzada Zahid Mehmud Qasmi visited here on Monday in order to promote religious harmony and brotherhood with regards to Muharram ul Haram. The delegation held meeting with the members of divisional and district Peace Committees of Faisalabad division at Circuit House.

Divisional Commissioner Momin Agha, RPO Bilal Siddique Kamyana, Deputy Commissioner Salman Ghani, CPO Afzaal Ahmad Kousar, Additional Commissioner Coordination Mehr Shafqat Ullah Mushtaq, other officers of district and police administration from the four districts of the division were also present in the meeting. Addressing the meeting, coordinator of IBMC delegation Zahid Mehmud informed that the delegations of Ittehad Bainul Muslimeen Committee Punjab are visiting across the province for promoting religious harmony in order to make the Muharram arrangements success for maintaining peace. He appreciated the efforts of district administration, police and members of peace committees for resolving some religious issues amicably and stressed upon close coordination between divisional/district administration and members of the Peace Committees. Divisional Commissioner Momin Agha welcomed the members of the delegation of Ittehad Bainul Muslimeen Committee Punjab and appreciated the role of Ulema for maintaining the religious harmony and fraternity.

He said that unity among the all sects is now very much needed keeping in view the internal and external threats confronted to the Pakistan. He said that the enemies of the Pakistan are trying to create unrest in Pakistan and they could choose the sensitive days of Muharram ul Haram for their nefarious designs. He stressed upon the Ulema to forge unity among their ranks and to promote religious harmony in the society because they were ruling on the hearts of the people. He urged upon following the code of conduct set by Ulema and religious scholars of all sects unanimously and said that they should abide by the law besides their moral responsibilities.

Divisional Commissioner welcomed the positive suggestions of Ulema Karam in connection with peace and harmony during Muharram days and assured the full cooperation of divisional, district and police administration. RPO Bilal Siddique Kamyana lauded he remarkable services of the Ulema of all sects.

The members of the delegations Syed Aqeel Bukhari, Allama Muhammad Younis Hassan, Ran Shafiq Khan Pasruri, Sahibzada Usman Ali Jalali, Mouland Muhammad Rasheed Tarabi, Moulana Muhammad Yousaf Awar, Sahibzada Khalid Mehmud Qasmi, Hafiz Muhamamd Amjid, Moulana Abdul Rasheed Hijazi, Sahibzada Faiz Rasul, Moulana Muhammad Riaz Kharal, Moulana Azim Farooq, Moulana Shabbir Ahmad Usmani and others said that we should follow the teaching of Islam for unity and peace.

Members divisional and district peace committees Moulana Abdul Mueed, Ajmal Hussain Naqvi, Jamil Fakhri and others assured their full cooperation for promoting religious harmony and peace and said they would keep no stone unturned for making the Muharram arrangements a success.
