Central Chairman Pakistan Readymade Garments Manufacturers and Exporters Association (PRGMEA) Ijaz A. Khokhar on Wednesday said that necessary arrangements are finalized for holding three day 18th Textile Asia international trade fair at Lahore Expo Centre from September 16. Talking to reporters here he revealed that more than 500 international brands and over 700 foreign delegates will attend Textile Asia International trade fair. Over 300 companies from home and abroad will display their products in this trade fair to attract the visitors he said.

As many as 600 booths would be available in this international event he said. Ijaz further told that over 65, 000 trade buyers are expected to visit Punjab's biggest B2B value added textile, garment, embroidery, yarn, digital painting machinery, power, chemical, dyestuff and allied services trade fair.

Most of the business tycoons from China and other countries had been arrived in Lahore for participating in this International fair he said. Ijaz said the basic concept of holding such event was to provide opportunity domestic businessmen to develop B2B links with their Pakistani counterparts.

Chairman PRGMEA further added that the trade fair will also provide an opportunity to local businessmen for introducing their products as well as ensure the easy access to international market. Our Textile sector had a great potential and PRGMEA was making strenuous efforts for exploiting potentiality of business community engaged with textile business for enhancing the export as well as bringing innovation in the products he added.

About the impact of trade fair he said that it will open new vistas of industrial growth and enlarge the scope business opportunities for domestic business community. Most of the international businessmen particularly Chinese were showing their keen interest in doing business with Pakistan in textile sector the PRGMEA Chairman added.
