The profit after tax of Pakistan Refinery Limited (PRL) has increased to Rs 1,060.278 million in the year ended June 30, 2017 (FY17) as compared to Rs 283.391 million earned in FY16. The board of directors of the company in its meeting held here on Tuesday announced that the company's earning per share has increased to Rs 3.45 in the period under review against Rs 0.93 in the same period a year back.

According to the financial results sent to Pakistan Stock Exchange the company's net sales increased to Rs 69.928 billion in FY17 against Rs 64.732 billion in FY16 while cost of sales increased to Rs 67.418 billion against Rs 62.743 billion. The company's profit before taxation increased to Rs 1,440.882 million in FY17 against Rs 486.623 million earned in FY16.
