The Punjab Provincial Development Working Party approved six development schemes of road sector with an estimated cost of Rs 8.66 billion in its 14th meeting of current fiscal year 2017-18 presided over by Chairman P&D Muhammad Jahanzeb Khan. Secretary P&D Iftikhar Ali Sahoo, All Members of the Planning & Development Board, Provincial Secretaries concerned and other senior representatives of the relevant Provincial Departments also attended the meeting.

The approved development schemes included:

1. Widening / Improvement of Pattoki Kanganpur Road length = 54.10 kms District Kasur (Revised) at the cost of Rs 1131.148 million,

2. Dualization of Kasur Depalpur Carriageway section from km 0.00 to 98.95, length = 98.95 kms, Kasur & Okara (Revised) at the cost of Rs 5961.671 million,

3. Construction / Widening and Improvement of road from Chowk 177 Murad to Chunan Wala via Chak No. 204/M, 203/M, 205/M, 206/M, 207/M & 209/M alongwith Adda 177/Murad to Pansota Chowk Via 167/M Mor, 138/M & 140/M length 27.20 Km, Bahawalnagar at the cost of Rs 534.177 million,

4. Construction of Metalled Road from Layyah Garh Maha Raja Road to Ameer Kalasra (L=50 km), Layyah at the cost of Rs 450.000 million.

5. , Construction of Flyover / Overhead Bridge at Railway Crossing on Lodhran Jalalpur Road in Lodhran at the cost of Rs 1165.422 million and,

6. Construction of road from Ghulla to Mangwal length 18 km, Chakwal at the cost of Rs 583.388 million.
