The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has extended the date of filing of annual withholding tax statement in respect of deduction on salaries up to August 31, 2017. According to an income tax circular 2 of 2017 issued here on Tuesday, in exercise of powers conferred under Section 214(A) of the Income Tax Ordinance, 2001, the FBR has extended the date of filing of Annual withholding tax statement in respect of deduction on salaries (section 149) which was due on 31st July, 2017 under the provisions of section 165(5) of the Income Tax Ordinance, 2001 read with Rule 44(5) of Income Tax Ordinance, 2002 till 31st August, 2017.
