Muhammad Rafique clinched the trophy after defeating Fawad Khan in the final of the Jashan-e-Azadi Snooker Cup played here at Tey Tey Niak Club on Monday. Former Provincial Minister Syed Aqil Shah was the chief guest on this occasion. President KP Snooker and Billiard Association Zulfiqar Butt, officials and large number of players and spectators were also present.

Promising Muhammad Rafique, a national junior category player, faced tough resistance against Fawad Khan in the marathon five sets battle. Rafique won the match by 3-2, the score was 62-17, 35-41, 55-82, 73-21, and 65-24. At the end, Syed Aqil Shah, who is also Vice President Pakistan Olympic Association, gave away trophies and cash prizes to the position holders.
