The Punjab Provincial Development Working Party (PPDWP) approved three development schemes of road sector with an estimated cost of Rs 2713.015 million on Friday in its 12th meeting of current fiscal year 2017-1. The meeting was presided over the Chairman P&D Muhammad Jahanzeb Khan. Secretary P&D Iftikhar Ali Sahoo, all members of the Planning & Development Board, Provincial Secretaries concerned and other senior representatives of the relevant provincial departments also attended the meeting.

The approved development schemes included:

1. Widening/Improvement of Sargodha - Gujrat Road (Section Jhal Chakkian to Bhalwal) 38.50km length, Sargodha (Revised) at the cost of Rs 624.812 million.

2. Widening/Improvement of road from Quderwal to Nila Road length 43.00km, District Chakwal (Revised) at the cost of Rs 785.796 million.

3. Establishment of Flyover across Railway Track in Raiwind City, Lahore (Revised) at the cost of Rs 1302.407 million.
