A mega project of underpass would be constructed on the one side of Samundri road near Novelty Pull at a cost of Rs 658 million for the smooth flow of traffic. This was revealed by Deputy Commissioner Salman Ghani while chairing a meeting to review the departmental progress on this project. SE Highways, Khawar Bhutta briefed about the salient features and estimates of the project.

While reviewing the design and other technical aspects of the Novelty Pull under pass project, the Deputy Commissioner directed for completing all administrative matters of the project through coordinated strategy of the concerned departments. He emphasized upon planning of the underpass in line with the future requirements according to the best traffic engineering. He set the target to start this project by the end of next month and said that utmost efforts to be utilized for completing this project within nine months. The Deputy Commissioner asked the WASA, SNGPL, PTCL and FESCO officers for making comprehensive plan for shifting the utility services to their departments within time line. He stressed upon taking concrete measures for completing all departmental formalities to launch this project without delay. He said that serious efforts are made for initiating and completing Novelty Pull underpass project on durable grounds.
