After past week;s rains in the upper catchment ares, rivers Indus, Kabul and Chenab have attained stage of low flood their rim stations. It is for first time that flow in the mighty Indus has crossed the mark of 3,00,000 cusecs at Tarbela during the on-going monsoon season. Flood Warning Center said here on Monday that River Indus at Tarbela, Kalabagh, Chashma, Taunsa & Guddu, River Chenab at Marala and Khanki and River Kabul at Nowshera are in Low flood level. All the other major rivers are flowing in the state of their Normal flow. Medium to high level flows are expected in the Nullahs of rivers Ravi & Chenab. Light to Moderate flows are expected in the Hill Torrents of D.G.Khan Division Rivers flows at rim stations and barrages:

Rivers: Indus at Tarbela: Inflows 3,02,200 cusecs and Outflows 2,7,4600 cusecs, Kabul at Nowshera: Inflows 48000 cusecs and Outflows 48000 cusecs, Jhelum at Mangla: Inflows 36000 cusecs and Outflows 10000 cusecs, Chenab at Marala: Inflows 12,5500 cusecs and Outflows 92800 cusecs.

Barrages: Jinnah: Inflows 281600 cusecs and Outflows 273600 cusecs, Chashma: Inflows 294700 cusecs and Outflows 300000 cusecs, Taunsa: Inflows 275800 cusecs and Outflows 253500 cusecs, Panjnad: Inflows 29700 cusecs and Outflows 15200 cusecs, Guddu: Inflows 241700 cusecs and Outflows 211400 cusecs, Sukkur: Inflows 197900 cusecs and Outflows 144100 cusecs, Kotri: Inflows 101300 cusecs and Outflows 65500.

Weather Forecast

Rain-thunderstorm (with few heavy falls) is expected at scattered places in Kashmir, upper Punjab Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Faisalabad divisions), Islamabad, upper KP (Malakand, Hazara, Peshawar, Mardan, Kohat divisions). Rain-thunderstorm is expected at isolated places in D.I.Khan, Bannu, Sargodha, Sahiwal, Multan divisions and Fata. Light rain/drizzle is also expected in coastal areas of Sindh including Karachi.
