The analysis of the Tax Directory 2017 of parliamentarians revealed that over 165 parliamentarians including Members of National Assembly and Senators are non-filers of income tax returns for tax year 2016. Tax experts referring to the Tax Directory 2017 of parliamentarians, disclosed that over and above 165 parliamentarians have not filed their returns in view the actual return filers in the tax directory. Based on tax directory filers and actual number of parliamentarians, the figure is over 165, ie, non-filers of returns for tax year 2016. The number of filers has been compared with the actual number of MNAs/Senators and others.
