This is apropos a Business Recorder news item "Govt takes stock of situation" carried by the newspaper on Saturday. According to it, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has held a consultative meeting with his legal and political teams to discuss future plan of action of the party after the Supreme Court reserved its verdict in the Panama Papers case. According to another report, however, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf is optimistic about the outcome of the Panama Leaks case. In a consultative meeting chaired by party chairman Imran Khan, it was resolved that the government will not be allowed to repeat its track record of "attacking and intimidating the courts to protect its theft and the ill-gotten wealth during their stay in power".

That the situation is highly complex is a fact. People in general are having low spirits from loss of hope or courage; they have started to feel despondent about the situation. Is the country heading towards civil unrest?
