He informed the meeting that 670.7 million rupees had been allocated for development expenditure, 60.43 million rupees for education, 30.21 million rupees for health, 20.7 million rupees for women development and 20.35 million rupees for promotion of sports. He said that provincial Planning and Development Department had authorized district council to use 55 percent of development funds. He informed that Rs 6.6 million had been allocated for the welfare of minorities while 60.24 million rupees had been allocated as a grant to district council. 170.68 million rupees have been set for development expenditures in the district.
