The Flood Warning Lahore has said that sharp peak of Low to Medium Flood level is expected at upstream Mangla from (28th - 30th) June-2017. Medium to High Flooding in Nullahs of rivers Ravi & Chenab alongwith Hill Torrents of D.G. Khan Division is also expected during the period.

River Chenab is in low flood at Marala in Sialkot district with flow of 84,000 cusecs and the river Kabul in low flood at Nowshera with 61,000 cusec running water merging with river Indus at Attock Bridge. There has also been sudden rise of water from 173,000 cusecs to 225,000 during past two days, it added.

In its weekly rainfall outlook till 4th July, the FWC said: Scattered Wind-thunderstorm/rain with isolated moderate to heavy fall is expected over Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, East Balochistan, Sindh, Punjab & upper catchments of rivers Sutlej, Ravi, Chenab & Jhelum from (28th - 30th ) June-2017. FFC has alerted all concerned authorities to remain ALERT in next two days.

MET office predicts Widespread Rains, Synoptic Situation: Met Office said on Wednesday that strong monsoon currents are penetrating in the country and likely to continue during next 48 hours. A fresh westerly wave is also affecting upper parts of the county and may persist during next 36 hours. Under the influence of theses weather conditions weather forecast will be such as:

Weather Forecast for next 24 hrs: Validity (2000 PST/28-06-2017 to 2000 PST/29-06 2017) Rain/thundershowers (with isolated heavy falls) with strong gusty winds are expected at a number of places in upper Punjab (Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Sargodha, Faisalabad divisions), Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, lower Sindh (Hyderabad, Karachi, MirpurKhas, Sh. Benazirabad divisions), Islamabad, FATA and Kashmir, while at scattered places in south Punjab (Sahiwal, Multan, Bahawalpur, D.G. Khan divisions), upper Sindh (Larkana, Sukkur divisions), eastern Balochistan (Zhob, Sibbi, Naseerabad, Kalat divisions) and Gilgit-Baltistan.

Weather Outlook for next 48 hrs: Validity (0800 PST/30-06-2017 to 0800 PST/01-07-2017) Mainly hot and humid weather is expected in most parts of the country. However, rain / thundershowers with gusty winds is expected scattered places in Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Sargodha, Hazara divisions, Islamabad, lower Sindh, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.

Past weather: Rain/dust-thundershowers with gusty winds occurred at a number of places in Punjab, while at isolated places in Malakand, D.I. Khan, Sibbi, Quetta, Kalat, Larkana, Sukkur, and Hyderabad divisions, Islamabad, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.
