Pakistan Muslim League-Q President and former Prime Minister Ch Shujat Hussain, senior central leader and former cm Punjab Ch Parvez Elahi and Moonis Elahi have expressed their heartfelt grief and sorrow over death of large number of civilians in oil tanker tragedy in Bahawalpur and prayed for early recovery of the injured. In a joint statement issued here on Sunday, they said that only the bereaved families know the sorrow and grief of this tragedy as hell has fallen on them a day before Eid, we equally share their sorrow and grief.

PML leaders contacted their MNA from Bahawalpur Tariq Bashir Cheema on telephone and inquired about details of the tragedy and also directed him to remain in contact with the affectees and fully cooperate with them.

They said if incompetent PML-N government had completed burn centers of our tenure in Multan and other areas of southern Punjab then many precious lives could have been saved.

They alleged that Shahbaz Sharif has no priority for health and hospitals because he wants only dollars making projects, wherever he goes he makes verbal promises, but he is not concerned and bothered about safeguarding life and property of the people and their welfare

The PML-Q leaders further said had the funds wasted on jangla bus, were spent on up-gradation of the hospitals then the circumstances would have been quite different.
