"We played like a team and every member of the team delivered their best in the final. He said with the victory in the Champions Trophy, the negative perception of the foreign players against Pakistan would be changed and they would prefer to visit Pakistan for playing cricket. Answering a question about Pakistan Premier League, Junaid Khan said that through PPL many talented cricketers come up at national and international levels like Fakhar Zaman, Roman Rais and Hasan Ali who performed extra-ordinary for Pakistan.

Junaid Khan said that soon after Eid he would go for playing county cricket in England. "We enjoyed the victory against India. The credit goes to our support in England based Pakistanis and the whole nation back home for their prayers during the Holy Month of Ramazan," Junaid Khan said. A beneficiary of the vacancy created by the spot-fixing scandal in 2010, Junaid was a regular in the Pakistan side until May 2015 where he took part in the historic home-series against Zimbabwe. He was not picked again to play for Pakistan until their tour of Australia in early 2017.
