The electricity shortfall between supply and demand of Gujranwala Electric Power Company (GEPCO) came down to 181 MW on Thursday resulting in elimination of any sort of unscheduled power load-shedding in its region. GEPCO supplies electricity to Sialkot, Narowal, Gujranwala, Gujrat, Mandi Bahauddin and Hafizabad districts to domestic, commercial, industrial and agriculture consumers in urban and rural areas.

GEPCO spokesman told Business Recorder that 1477 MW electricity was supplied to GEPCO from the National Grid against demand of 1658 MW of all six districts famously called the golden triangle of Pakistan.
