Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif presided over a high level meeting here Thursday, which reviewed progress of ongoing infrastructure projects in the province and different matters of six-km long elevated Expressway project from Ravi Bridge to Kala Shah Kaku on GT Road. Matters of extension of metro bus service to Rachna Town also came under discussion.

Addressing the meeting, Shahbaz Sharif said that infrastructure projects are being completed speedily throughout the province as economic, industrial and trade activities enhance due to modern infrastructure. He said that project of construction of dual road from Lodhran to Khanewal would be speedily forwarded and no effort will be spared in completion of this public welfare project in the stipulated period. He said that traffic flow will improve with elevated expressway on GT Road and completion of this project will result in facilitating the people to a large extent.

He directed for early completion of feasibility of the project and said that this public welfare project will have to be forwarded speedily. Recommendations of the committee, headed by Secretary Communication & Works, regarding the project were also reviewed.

Provincial Minister for Transport Mujtaba Shuja-ur-Rehman, Member National Assembly Malik Riaz, MPA Ghazali Saleem Butt, Chief Secretary, Secretary C&W, Secretary Finance and concerned officials were present on the occasion.
