The All Pakistan Textile Mills Association (APTMA) Chairman Aamir Fayyaz has expressed concerns over suspension of the Karachi port operations, saying that the textile industry has incurred a loss of exports valuing $400 million (Rs 40 billion) over the last 10 days.

He said the export containers are stuck up and orders worth billions of dollars are being cancelled. He said the lingering strike was inflicting a negative impact on the national economy. He further pointed out that the strike was not a solution to the problem and stressed the need for a resolution through dialogue.
