State Minister for Water & Power Chauadhry Abid Sher Ali said that current democratic government is striving hard to get rid from the scourge of loadshedding and by the grace of God; the production of 21,000 megawatt should be ensured till July 2017. He congratulated the FESCO officer and officials on completion of 132KV SPS grid station in minimum record time period and announced one month pay as bonus for officials who took part in the construction of this grid station, he was addressing a public gathering after inaugurating the 132-KV Steam Power Station (SPS) grid.

He said that necessary directives have been issued to all Distribution Companies (DISCOs) to remove all system constraints before Holy month of Ramazan so that fluctuation could be eliminated and uninterrupted and smooth power supply must be ensured to consumers. He further said that unfortunately, previous governments did not produce a single megawatt and transmission system was also outdated but present government is completing the energy projects on top priority basis. He also congratulated the FESCO staff on their best performance.

Earlier, MNA Rana Afzal also appreciated the performance of FESCO said that government is taking all possible measures to ensure uninterrupted power supply to consumers. Chief Executive Officer (CEO) FESCO Nizam au Din Marwat said that construction of this grid station was desperately needed due to continuous increase in demand of load and construction of new commercial plazas, business centers and residences at canal road, Amin town, Jhumra road and Madina Town.
