The Punjab government has fixed cotton sowing target at 6 million acres of land with production target fixed at 10 million bales. A spokesman of the Punjab Agriculture Department said on Friday that all resources are being utilised to meet the sowing and production target of this most important crop which constitute around 51pc of the total export receipts. The spokesman urged the growers to follow the guidelines issued by the department for better production.
