The Federal Board of Revenue has issued notices to 56 officials from Excise department for not filing income tax returns for last three fiscal years, the sources said. According to the sources, the regional tax office has issued notices to all the officers from the Excise department. They said the concerned authority has given a deadline of one week before proceeding against the non-filers under the law. Penalties would be imposed against the non-filers, they added.
