The investors from China, Thailand, Hong Kong, Germany, France and Turkey have shown their interest to visit Pakistan for discussing the possibilities of business in the auto sector. This was stated by Mashood Ali Khan Chairman Pakistan Association of Automotive Parts and Accessories Manufacturers (PAAPAM).

He told that PAAPAM held a seminar on Wednesday at Pakistan Pavilion in Hanover Messe, organised by Engineering Development Board (EDB), which was attended by some 30 industrialists from different countries mainly from China, Thailand, Hong Kong, Germany, France and Turkey.

Mashood said PAAPAM during seminar highlighted the business potential in Pakistan and the incentives being offered to the new investors under different schemes of government which included incentives under Special Economic Zones, National Industrial Parks and Export Processing Zones. He said the investors lauded the efforts of Pakistan government to attract investments in the country through provision of incentives to vehicle manufacturers and ensured that they would soon plan to visit Pakistan to discuss the possibilities of doing business in the country.

Mashood said Commercial Councillor, Embassy of Pakistan in Berlin, Jehangir Mushtaq Virk also addressed the audience and apprised them about business opportunities in Pakistan, which were accredited by international business community. He said the councillor also ensured support to the European investors through his office and welcomed the participants to discuss their business plans in detail with the commercial section of Embassy of Pakistan in Berlin or with EDB for firsthand knowledge.
