Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Monday congratulated cricketer Younis Khan on attaining the 10,000 runs milestone in his Test career. PM has stated that the nation is proud of this achievement and it is a testament to the talent and hard work of Pakistani cricketers. Many other public figures including cricketers, politicians and media persons also took to Twitter and expressed felicitations to the veteran Younis Khan.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan said Younis Khan's courage, determination and ability to score against quality bowling in difficult conditions has led to this achievement. Star all-rounder Shahid Afridi congratulated Younis Khan on his incredible achievement and hoped for an amazing farewell series for him.
