Federal Parliamentary Secretary for Information Technology/MNA Talal Badar Ch, Director Special Education Faazal Cheema, DO Special Education Ch Abdul Hameed, PML-N workers Malik Shahid Iqbal Awan, Aftab Akbar Ch, Haji Nazeer Ahmad Cheema, Ch Khalid Mehmud Cheema, Principals of Special Education Centers and special children were also present on the occasion.
Provincial Minister said that Punjab govt would continue its efforts for the welfare and development of special children for making them useful citizens of the society. He said Rs 70 million had been allocated for the construction of new building of Buchiana Special Education Center and Rs 10.32 million had been released for purchasing the pick & drop bus, hearing aids and wheel chairs for the special students. He also informed that Braille books were being provided to the blind children free of cost while a monthly stipend of Rs 800 had also been given to such children besides providing free transport facilities, free education, books and two uniforms every year for each student.
Provincial Minister lauded the performance of the special children in different skits, tableaus, national songs and other variety programmes and said that the capabilities of special children could be polished by imparting training and education to them. He said that it was joint responsibilities of the society to associate the special persons in the journey of life and development for eliminating their sense of deprivation.
MNA Talal Badar Ch said that development and progress of constituency was utmost mission of him and establishment of special education center at Buchiana was very much need. He thanked to CM Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif for providing funds for center.
