So a ponytail by a man is a statement of what?"

"I don't get you?"

"If a man has a ponytail then is he making a statement?"

"Well, it is a fashion statement - many a young college student does wear his hair in a ponytail, I reckon, it represents liberal values - pro-democracy and secular..."

"And I suppose the length of the ponytail is important. I mean if it's less than a couple of inches, then perhaps the statement is I am trying to defy the cultural and religious norms of grooming but am not quite bold enough to challenge any ideology that may get me into trouble with the society I live in."

"RR's ponytail is less than a couple of inches..."

"RR as in Rolls Royce?"

"That car, my dear, is not for the likes of a mere Senate Chairman who holds the position because of the largesse of his party leader - namely the assassinated Benazir Bhutto's undisputed heir Asif Ali Zardari."

"Hey, RR created a small turmoil in the ranks of the Nawalas recently when he said he would tender his resignation, no I understand he didn't actually tender it, but said he would if the presence of federal ministers to respond to Senate members' queries is not assured."

"Right and he said until and unless he is assured by the Prime Minister himself that ministers would attend the Senate he will not give up on his intent to resign."

"Right and AID spoke to him as well as the man with the Charlie Chaplin moustache, the only Sadiq in parliament, yes I am referring to none other than Ayaz Sadiq - anyway these two guys said they would try to convince RR to withdraw his intent to resign."

"But it was a threat, he never actually submitted his resignation?"

"He ain't stupid - had he resigned who knows whether BB's undisputed heir would have supported his candidacy for the position again and..."

"Don't be facetious, but anyway before the weekend AID talked to him and convinced him to abandon the idea..."

"Right and RR agreed the second time around - need I add AID is not only known as having made great strides in borrowing from abroad but his track record is that he did not attend 71 percent of the Senate sessions..."

"Hey, unless AID approves nothing gets done so..."

"So a toast to him!"

"And I hope that liquid in your glass is Rooh Afza or else AID will send the police to..."

"Yes it is."
