K-Electric has issued a letter to the Director Schools and Education regarding non-payment of more than Rs 202 million outstanding dues against 1,457 government schools. KE officials said that despite several notices, dues have not been cleared altogether. The power utility has disconnected the power supply to 224 schools because of over Rs 130 million dues. In a letter sent last month to Director Schools and Education, the power utility appealed to ensure clearance of dues so that the students do not face any difficulty during examinations.
