A session of Hyderabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (HCCI) Wednesday agreed to have joint struggle to remove the hurdles in progress of trade and industry. The session was presided by Senior Vice President (VP) HCCI, Turab Al Khawaja. On the occasion Mr. Khawaja said that HCCI represented the traders in All Pakistan Chambers and Associations' session and informed them about the misconducts of FBR against traders and tax payers, and the productive activities that have been affected by undue raids on shops and factories by FBR representatives.

He said that said that the traders demand immediate end of policing powers of FBR officers. In the joint session it was acknowledged that due to lack of concentration of local departments the business activities are suffering. Mr. Turab further said that the traders raised the point of 6 to 8 hours of unannounced electric load-shedding by HESCO which has severely affected the small and medium enterprises (SMEs) due to which the owners were facing heavy losses.

It was further mentioned in the session that Hyderabad Municipality takes higher percentage of food license fees and always threatens to impose penalties on Green and Seed Merchant contractors and it is very difficult to carry on business in present situation.
