According to details, the FBR had issued a notification No 0651-C-I/2017 dated 28th February 2017 that was partially modified with another number 0657-C-I/2017 dated 28th February 2017 within an hour of the issuance of the first one. As per the original notification, Abdul Rashid Sheikh has been allowed to look after the charge of Director General, Directorate General of Reforms and Automation (Customs) Karachi in addition to his duties as Chief Collector Customs (Appraisement) Karachi.
Samaira Nazir has been transferred as Director General, Directorate General of Post Clearance Audit Islamabad from the office of Chief Collector of Customs (Central) Lahore. Junaid Akram has been transferred as Director General, Director General of Internal Audit (Customs) to be stationed at Lahore from the office of Member Federal Board of Revenue (HQ) Islamabad. Manzoor Hussain has been transferred as Chief Collectorate Customs (Enforcement) Karachi from the post of Director General, Directorate General of Reforms and Automation (Customs) Karachi.
Dr Jawwad Owais Agha has been transferred as Chief Collectorate of Customs (Central) Lahore from the post of Director General, Directorate of Internal Audit (Customs) Karachi. Zeba Hai Azhar was posted as Director General, Directorate General of IOCO, stationed at Lahore from the post of Director, Directorate of Intelligence & Investigation, FBR Lahore.
Suraiya Ahmed Butt has been posted as Director General, Directorate General of Customs Valuation Karachi from the office of Director, Directorate General of Transit Trade Karachi. Amer Ahmed has been transferred as Member FATE Wing, FBR, Islamabad from the post of Member, FBR (HQ) Islamabad and Muhammad Ibrahim Vighio has been posted as Director General (OPS), Directorate General of Training & Research (Customs) Karachi from the post of Director General (OPS), Directorate General of Input Output Coefficient Organisation, Karachi.
However, highly reliable sources said an important "political figure" called the relevant authority soon after the issuance of notification. The sources added that the authority modified the notification with a separate number 0657-C-I/2017 dated 28th February 2017 that speaks as follows: Dr Jawwad Owais Agha has been transferred as Director General, Directorate General of IOCO Karachi, Zeba Hai Azhar has been transferred as Chief Collectorate of Customs (Central) Lahore, Muhammad Ibrahim Vighio has been transferred as Director IOCO, Directorate General of IOCO Karachi and Syed Tanveer Ahmed has been posted as Chief FBR (HQ) Islamabad from the office of Director General (OPS), Directorate General of Customs Valuation Karachi.
