At least five persons were killed in separate incidents of firing and road accident in Dera Ismail Khan on Sunday. According to police, unidentified armed persons riding a motorcycle opened fire and killed Saqlan, Ali Raza and Jamil within limits of Prova police station.

Relatives of the victims took to road in a protest, calling for early arrest of the killers who fled from crime scene before police reached.

Later, the protesters peacefully dispersed after assurance that the killers would be arrested soon. In another account, Muhammad Ejaz was shot dead by unidentified persons in Peeru area within jurisdiction of Chaudwan police which registered a First Information Report (FIR) of the incident.
