The prices of essential kitchen items have registered a slight increase during the last week as compared with the preceding week, a survey carried outBusiness Recorder revealed here on Saturday. Tomatoes price went up from Rs 220 to Rs 240 per 5kg in wholesales market, which in retail market is being sold at Rs 55 per kg, onion price didn't change as it is being sold at Rs 130 per 5kg, which in retail market is being sold at Rs 35 per kg and potatoes price remained also stable at Rs 1,400 per quintal in wholesales market while in retail it is being sold at Rs 30 per kg.

Ginger price in wholesale market went up from Rs 375 to Rs 500 per 5kg, which in retail market is being sold at Rs 120 per kg against Rs 100 per kg, garlic price further went down from Rs 1,350 to Rs 1,300 per 5kg in wholesales market which in retail is being sold at Rs 300 per kg against Rs 320 per kg while Chinese garlic is being available at Rs 1,250 per 5kg in wholesales market which in retail is being available at Rs 280 per kg, lemon price remained stable at Rs 200 per 5kg which in retail market is being sold at Rs 60 per kg.

Prices of all the major pulses remained stable as Mash is being sold at Rs 160 per kg, Channa at Rs 170 per kg, Lobia at Rs 100-120 per kg, Moong at Rs 120 per kg and Masoor at Rs 110 per kg, while the rice prices also remained stable as best quality Basmati rice is being available at Rs 120 per kg against and normal at Rs 70 per kg.

During the week under review, chicken price witnessed a slight reduction from Rs 4,700 to Rs 4,500 per 40kg, while in retail market chicken prices didn't witness a change which is still available at Rs 130-135 per kg and chicken meat is being sold at Rs 220 per kg. Egg prices remained stable at Rs 100 per dozen which in retail is being available at Rs 110 per dozen. Sugar price remained stable at Rs 3,100 per 50kg bag which in retail market is being sold at Rs 67-70 per kg, while a bag of 20kg normal quality wheat flour is being available at Rs 750.

Brinjal price went up from Rs 200 to Rs 300 per 5kg which in retail market is being available at Rs 70 per kg against Rs 50 per kg, carrot with no change at Rs 100 per 5kg, which in retail market is being sold at Rs 25 per kg, cucumber price went down from Rs 200 to Rs 100 per 5kg which in retail market is being sold at 30 per kg against Rs 50 per kg. The price of a pack of 8kg radish in wholesales market is Rs 100, which in retail is being sold at Rs 15 per kg.

Okra is being available at Rs 500 per 5kg which in retail is being sold at Rs 120 per kg, peas price went down from Rs 230 to Rs 200 per 5kg which in retail market is being sold at Rs 50 per kg against Rs 55-60 per kg, Maro kadu is being available at Rs 150 per 5kg and normal kadu at Rs 300 per 5kg in wholesales market while in retail being sold at Rs 40 and Rs 70 per kg respectively.

Kareela went up from Rs 550 to Rs 1,200 per 5kg, which is being sold at Rs 300 per kg against Rs 140 per kg and Arvi prices remained stable at Rs 350 per 5kg, which in retail market is being sold at Rs 80 per kg against Rs 75 per kg.

Cauliflower price went up from Rs 120 to Rs 150 per 5kg which in retail is being sold at Rs 40 per kg against Rs 25 per kg and cabbage price also went up from Rs 120 to Rs 150 per 5kg, which in retail is being sold at Rs 40 per kg against Rs 30 per kg. Capsicum price went down from Rs 500 to Rs 450 per 5kg which in retail market is being sold at Rs 120 per kg, beans price went up from Rs 260 to Rs 300 per 5kg, which in retail market are being sold at Rs 70 per kg.
