ICE Canadian canola futures fell on Thursday on long liquidation, influenced by weaker US soy prices. March canola dipped $2.80 to $521.30 per tonne. Most-active May canola lost $3.10 to $528.80 per tonne. March-May canola spread traded 5,778 times. Chicago Board of Trade March soybeans dropped on pressure from Brazil's harvest. May soyoil shed 1 percent. NYSE Liffe May rapeseed and April Malaysian palm oil slipped.

The Canadian dollar was trading at $1.3055 to the US dollar, or 76.60 US cents at 1:02 pm CST (1902 GMT), higher than Wednesday's close at $1.3075 to the greenback, or 76.48 US cents.
