The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has announced 100 percent increase in employment quota for the retired employees and assured them of many other incentives in recognition of their services. This was announced by FBR Chief Commissioner Jahanzeb Mehmood while speaking at a function here on Wednesday. The event was arranged in honour of the former employees of FBR.

He announced increased in employees employment quota from 10 to 20 percent so that they could meet their financial problems in accordance with price hike.

Besides, he also assured that recommendations would be forwarded to the concerned high ups in FBR for 25 percent increase in jobs quota for siblings of the retired class-4 employees, setting up of dispensary at tax house and regularisation of the contractual workers.

Earlier, the employees' representatives including Haji Muhammad Irshad Baghi and Inayatullah presented demands pertaining to appointments, promotions and other incentives.

The chief commissioner while appreciating services of the former employees they had rendered during their job and said that it was national duty of all of them to fulfil their duties with national zeal.

Large number of people, including commissioners in-land revenue Nawab Khan, Abid Mehmood, Mir Badshah, Khan Wazir, Dr Shah Khan, Arbab Muhammad Tariq, Additional Commissioner Fazal Malik, Assistant Commissioner Mohsin Ihsan were also present in the function.
